“How am I supposed to learn all of this?” Medical school can be overwhelming in the first few weeks and you may be asking yourself this question. The How to Revise lecture, held in October of Semester 1, aims to help you learn more effectively by showing you an array of revision strategies, both common and uncommon, and discusses when best to use them, as well as demonstrating some innovative memory techniques.
You will also be introduced to some of our key recurring concepts, including active revision, critical thinking, integration, utilising a structured approach to problem solving and applying principles, which will stand you in good stead for your entire medical school career and beyond. We will also offer some friendly advice on settling in and how to stay organised.
